The family of slain Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl said they “were grateful for the tireless efforts by authorities in Pakistan and the United States” to seek justice for Pearl’s murderers. On Monday, after a Pakistani court convicted four Islamic terrorists Monday in the kidnap-slaying, Pearl’s family issued a statement saying, “Today’s verdict is the first chapter in this process. We hope and trust that the search for the remaining abductors and murderers will continue, so that all accomplices in this unthinkable crime will be brought to justice.”
