The first direct telephone link between this city and Warsaw was established today. The Israel Minister of Posts and Telegraph, Dr. Joseph Burg, talked to the Minister of Posts of Poland, both officials expressing hope that the telephone line will augur a period of “rapprochement between the two nations.”
