The first presentation in Detroit of the musical and dramatic spectacle, “The Romance of a People,” will be given at the Olympia Arena here on Monday evening with Herman Bernstein, editor of The Jewish Daily Bulletin as the guest speaker.
Gala ceremonies in which Catholic, Protestant and Jewish civic leaders will participate will mark the opening of a six-day run of the pageant, in which a cast of 2,000 singers, actors and dancers, portraying the highlights of four thousand years of Jewish history will participate.
