The first research by the Lasker Foundation for Medical Research established by Albert D. and Flora W. Lasker, contributing $1,000,000 will be a study of Bright’s disease it was announced. The foundation was established to study degenerative diseases.

The Advisory Committee is composed of Dr. F.C. McLean. Chairman of the Department of Medicine at the University of Chicago: Dr. D. R. Phemister, Chairman of the Department of Surgery; Dr. A. J. Carlson. Chairman of the Department of Physiology: Dr. H. G. Wells, Chairman of the Department of Pathology, Alfred F. Cohn of the Rockefeller Institute, and Mr. Lasker.
