The first step towards the realization of a Jewish hospital in Montreal was taken at a dinner of representatives of Jewish organizations, held at the Montefiore Club, at which plans were discussed for the opening of the Jewish Hospital Campaign, to be held from September 22 to September 30. Allan Bronfman and Michael Hirsch, joint chairmen, presided. Peter Bercovitch and Dr. Max Wiseman, spoke. Alderman J. Schubert assured the campaign committee of the cooperation of the business community in Montreal.
