The German-controlled Paris radio reported today that the Vichy government had arrested Leon Blum for “his own protection.” The broadcast said Blum had been expelled from the Socialist newspaper L’Effort, which is edited by Charles Spinasse, former Socialist minister, and had been accused, among other things, of distributing a secret bulletin.
