The government of Poland supports the idea of Jewish immigration to Palestine and the aspirations of the Jewish people in that country, Dr. Oscar Lange, chief of the Polish Delegation to the United Nations, told more than 1,200 delegates of the Council of Organizations of the United Jewish Appeal of Greater New York at a luncheon meeting today at Webster Hall.
The sum of $300,000 representing treasury gifts from 700 fraternal, benevolent and landsmannschaften organizations affiliated with the Council of Organizations, was presented to the U.J.A. of Greater New York at the meeting.
