The increasing number of tourists from West Germany to Israel and from Israel to Germany has prompted the German Ministry of Tourism to open a German tourist office in Israel. The office was inaugurated here by the West German tourist office representative Paul Fischer. According to Fisher, 43,000 West Germans came in 1974 to Israel while 30,000 Israelis visited West Germany during the year.
