The Indian Jewish community in the United States is accepting donations to help a synagogue hit by recent floods in India. Money will help the Beth-El Synagogue in the city of Mumbai, formerly known as Bombay, where the Torah scrolls, as well as the building, were destroyed by floods, according to Romiel Daniel, the presiding officer of the Indian Jewish Congregation of USA.
