The Israeli army is cracking down on soldiers with long hair and sloppy uniforms. Maj. Gen. Moshe Gidron, head of the army’s manpower branch, announced Tuesday that special inspection units will patrol the roads to stop any soldier whose hair is too long or whose uniform is improperly worn. The new regulations were drawn up in response to the Agranat Committee’s report criticizing discipline in the armed services.
