The Israeli army will begin trimming the number of reservists called up for home-front duties because of the war in Iraq but the civil alert will remain high. Speaking at Sunday’s weekly Cabinet meeting, Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz said that since most Israelis have already updated their gas mask kits, the army will reduce the number of reservists in gas mask distribution centers, Israel Radio reported.
