The Israeli Embassy in Bratislava recognized seven Slovaks as Righteous among the Nations. Only one of the seven honored is still alive, but she could not attend the ceremony for health reasons, so the honors were presented to their families in appreciation of the help they offered Jews during the Holocaust.
