The Israeli Health Ministry agreed to fund genetic testing for families of Yemenite children who disappeared in the 1950s. A mother and daughter were apparently reunited earlier this year, supporting long-held claims in the Yemenite community that the Israeli government had conspired to kidnap Yemenite children and place them with Ashkenazi families. But genetic testing has cast doubt on their relationship.
