The Jewish Agency for Israel has established a fund for needy young immigrants. The emergency fund for immigrant students who are alone in Israel will be launched Monday at the Jewish Agency assembly in Jerusalem. The fund, a partnership with Israel’s Absorption Ministry, comes in response to government cuts in financial aid for new students, according to Jewish Agency spokesman Michael Jankelowitz.
