The Jewish community is planning a rally to protest Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s visit this month to the United Nations. The rally, scheduled for Sept. 24 opposite the United Nations, will protest the Iranian president’s statements about the Holocaust and his belligerence toward Israel and the United States. The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations and the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York are sponsoring the demonstration in cooperation with the United Jewish Communities, UJA-Federation of New York and Jewish Council for Public Affairs. Ahmadinejad will be in New York to speak before the opening session of the U.N. General Assembly.
