The Jewish National Fund is conducting a “palm operation” in some of the Arava and the Sharm el-Sheikh settlements. Some 100 palm trees were planted recently around the moshav of Neviot. Similar plantings took place around Di Zahav, half-way between Sharm el-Sheikh and Eilat; Hatzeva, in the Arava; and Faran, in the Sinai peninsula.
