The Jewish Weekly of Switzerland marked its 100th anniversary with a celebration at a Zurich hotel. Among those honoring what is believed to be Western Europe’s oldest Jewish newspaper was Swiss President Adolf Ogi, who told the audience not to be disheartened by anti-Semitic incidents. “The large majority of the Swiss people are not anti-Semitic,” he said.
