The Kibbutz Haartzi movement announced Monday that its member kibbutzim will seek to absorb underprivileged youths from the age of 12 and above in order to help narrow the serious social gap in Israel. The movement, the roof organization of kibbutzim sponsored by Hashomer Hatzair, said it would make this absorption effort a priority activity. The socially deprived youths will come mainly from new development towns which are populated largely by immigrant families.
