The largest Jewish conference ever held in this State took place here-yesterday when 250 leading Jews assembled to deliberate on plans for North Carolina’s participation in the United Jewish Campaign.

Dr. Henry Moskowitz of New York, delivered a moving address.

Following Dr. Moskowitz’s address, the conference speedily organized, accepting a quota of $200,000 and electing the following officers:

Honorary State Chairman, Julius W. Cone of Greensboro; State-chairman, M. E. Block of Greenboro; State-Treasurers, Leslie Weil of Goldsboro and Marcus Jacobi of Wilmington; State-Secretary, Dr. Milton Ellis of Goldsboro; Vice-Chairmen, Julius Cone, Greensboro; Mrs. Gustave Lichtenfels, Asheville; Rabbi F. I. Rypins, Wilmington; Rabbi Moses P. Jacobson, Asheville; Dr. N. Rosenstein, Durham; Will Weil, Harvard Terrace; Mrs. Caesar Cone, Greensboro, S. Sternberg, Asheville, Alladdin Rosenbacher, Winston-Salem, and Louis Samuels, Raleigh; Honorary Chairmen, Mrs. E. Sternberger, Greensboro, B. S. Aronson, Raleigh and Philip Henry, Asheville.
