The Latvian Parliament called on the Baltic nation’s president to appear before them and explain remarks he made during a trip to the United States earlier this month. Accepting an award from the Anti-Defamation League in New York, President Guntis Ulmanis had apologized for Latvia’s complicity with the Nazis.
