The leader of Germany’s Jewish community is to receive an honorary doctorate Wednesday. Paul Spiegel will receive the honor from Heinrich Heine University in his hometown of Duesseldorf. Spiegel, 65, has been head of the Central Council of Jews in Germany since January 2000.
