The Likud and Labor parties agreed to run on a joint list in the next Histadrut trade union elections. This will mark the first time since 1965, when the Likud joined the labor federation, that it will hold leadership positions in the Histadrut. As part of the understanding, the Likud will run on a single list headed by the federation’s chairman, Amir Peretz, and will not put forward its own candidate for the top slot.
