The Lord Mayor of Melbourne has called a meeting of representative citizens for Dec. 5 to consider methods of helping refugees from Germany and Austria. Assailing Nazi persecution of Jews, President-General Janzow of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod announced plans in Adelaide for settlement of Jewish refugees in Australia. Dr. Janzow revealed that Germans in Australia were ready to give cash loans to cover requirements for landing permits and were also trying to arrange for employment.
