The lord mayor of Sydney, Lucy Turnbull, said city officials should not attend the presentation of a peace prize to Palestinian intellectual Hanan Ashrawi. The Peace Foundation, connected with the University of Sydney, will award the 2003 Sydney Peace Prize to Ashrawi next month in the New South Wales State Parliament.
