The Louvre in Paris agreed to return five paintings to the heirs of an Italian Jew whose collection was seized by the Nazis, the World Jewish Congress said Wednesday. The action by the museum is believed to mark the first time an artwork has been removed from the walls of the Louvre for the purposes of restitution.
