The makeup of the Knesset changed slightly from previous estimates, according to the final tally from Israel’s 7,021 polling stations released Wednesday by the Central Election Committee. Prime Minister-elect Ehud Barak’s One Israel list dropped one seat, to 26. The left-wing Meretz Party gained a seat, increasing its representation to 10. The Yisrael Ba’Aliyah immigrants rights party lost a seat, reducing its number to six, while the far-right National Unity Party won four seats, not the three previously estimated.
