The man who admitted to forging the “Hitler diaries” published in 1983 died of stomach cancer at 62. A gallery owner and painter, Konrad Kujau gained notoriety 17 years ago after it was revealed he had counterfeited 60 volumes purported to be Hitler’s personal diaries.
