The Minister of the Interior, Mr. Octavian Goga, in an interview with the representative here of the “New York Times.” replying to the question of what measures the Government had taken to put down the anti-Semitic agitation in the country, said:
“The anti-Semitic movement has never assumed in Roumania those dimensions which have been reported abroad by certain individuals for reasons of their own, with the result that damage has been done to Roumania’s good name. Among the students the Anti-Semitic movement has stopped. The students have complete confidence in the Government and they have all returned quietly to their studies. The Cuzists have put up a number of can### in the elections but they stand no chance of being elected.”
