The Montreal Committee for Jewish-Catholic Relations urged the Syrian government, in a statement Thursday, to abide by the Geneva Convention in its treatment of Israeli POWs and asked the Canadian government to exert pressure on Syria to repatriate immediately all wounded POWs and to enter into an unconditional exchange of prisoners with Israel.
