The National Council for Jewish Education will hold its fourth annual conference in Boston at the Copley Plaza Hotel begining next Tuesday, May 28. Delegates from New York. Philadelphia. Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Cincinnati, Detroit and Cleveland and other cities will take part in the conclave.
A reception in honor of the delegates attending the convention will be given by the Boston Bureau of Jewish Education on Tuesday evening. Many local Jewish organizations are cooperating with the Bureau of Education in making the convention a success.
Professor Nathan Isaacs of Harvard University will preside. Among the local speakers who will greet the delegates are Rabbi Harry Levi of Temple Israel and Louis Hurwich. Dr. Emanuel Gamoran of Cincinnati. Ohio, president of the National Council, will deliver the presidential address. Dr. Samson Benderly, director of the Bureau of Jewish Education of New York City, will also be one of the principal speakers.
An educational exhibit demonstrating the hcildren’s work, teacher’s aid, text books and other special devices employed in Hebrew teaching, will be given during the sessions. The conference will continue until Thursday.
