The National Council of Jewish Women is opposing President Bush’s nomination of a conservative California judge to the Florida bench. Janice Rogers Brown, who now serves on the California Supreme Court, “would roll back fundamental rights and constitutional protections that are the bedrock of modern jurisprudence,” the NCJW said in a statement last week.
