The National Executive Committee of Hamagshimim said that “the members of Hamagshimim present at the founding conference of the Socialist Zionist Union (March 19-21) attended as individuals. They did not in any way represent the viewpoint or ideology of Hamagshimim. Hamagshimim is a general Zionist youth movement and like Hadassah, its sponsoring organization, does not align itself with any political factions.”
