A delegation, consisting of Chief Rabbi Sacerdoti, Advocates Ravenna, Tagliacozza, Sereni, Jarach, and Nahon, the Commissioners of the Jewish Community, set up under the new Jewish Communities Law in Italy, was received to-day in audience by King Victor Emmanuel, and afterwards by the Prime Minister, Signor Mussolini.

The receptions in both cases were most cordial each lasting about half-an-hour. The delegation rendered homage to the King and to the Prime Minister on behalf of Italian Jewry, presenting them with gold medals struck to communicate the new Jewish Communities Law under which the Jews of Italy have obtained an official status.

The medal was executed by the Jewish sculptor, Minerbi. It shows on the obverse side the decalogue, a o Menorah, and the Shield of David, and on the reverse side the names of the King and the Prime Minister, and an inscription stating that the medal was struck to commemorate the Law of October 30th., 1930.

A medal will also be presented to-morrow night to the Minister of Justice, at a festival meeting, at which medals will be presented to the members, both Jewish and non-Jewish, of the Ministerial Commission which drew up the new law.
