The New York Knicks basketball player who told The New York Times Magazine that Jews were responsible for the death of Jesus is “100 percent” remorseful, said a rabbi who is planning to conduct a dialogue with him. Yechiel Eckstein, founder and president of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, said that in a 15-minute phone conversation Charlie Ward displayed an “open heart, a spirit of repentance and a desire to learn how” to “extend his hand to the Jewish people in a sensitive way and learn more about Jews and Judaism.”
