The News-Chronicle demanded editorially today the arming of Palestine’s Jews.
“Our obligation to protect the Jewish national home must be fulfilled,” the paper said. “The best way to ensure that Palestine never falls to Hitler is to arm the virile Jewish population. They will fight for their homes against Hitler as even we should not. All they need is modern weapons and these America is best able to provide. From the point of view of winning the larger war there could not be a better investment.”
