The North American Jewish federation system extended its emergency fund-raising campaign for Israel through 2003. In Monday’s announcement, the United Jewish Communities cited the ongoing needs of Israelis “living in the face of terrorist threats and attacks.” The campaign has raised $312 million in pledges since it began last fall.
