The organizations of Belgian war veterans and former Nazi camp deportees have protested against the holding of a pro-Nazi ceremony at the German cemetery of Langemark, in western Flanders, attended by various extreme right organizations from Belgium and West Germany and an important delegation of former members of the SS Langenmark Division Corps. The division, set up by Hitler during World War II, included several Belgian collaborators from the Flanders region.
