The Orthodox Union praised a U.S. Senate proposal to create a federal education tax credit for businesses that contribute to education. The legislation, introduced Tuesday, would give all businesses a 50 percent federal tax credit for contributions of up to $150,000 to scholarship organizations and other organizations assisting public schools in creating and funding educational programs.
