The overseas construction department of Solel Boneh, the Histadrut construction firm recently placed 17th among construction firms operating abroad by a noted U.S. building magazine, is shortly to start work on a $220 million project in Nigeria. The company will be building water projects, hotels and industrial enterprises in the Anamba district of Nigeria. The enterprise employs 840 Israelis, 660 of them abroad, and another 40,000 local employees hired in the nine countries in Africa and Latin America in which the enterprise is presently operating.
