The Palestinian Authority is considering the release of some 300 Hamas detainees, according to Israeli media reports. Israeli officials are said to be concerned that the self-rule government may also free 20 terror suspects arrested under the terms of the Wye accord. The halt in the accord’s implementation may prompt the Palestinians to halt all security cooperation with Israel, the officials warned.
