The Palestinian Authority’s first Jerusalem census points to a higher Palestinian population in the eastern portion of the city than Israel has reported. The study says the Palestinian population in areas annexed by Israel after 1967 was 210,209 in 1997, compared with 180,000 reported by Israel.
