The Palestinian Authority’s prime minister condemned suicide attacks on Israeli civilians. Ahmed Qurei said Wednesday that the attacks have damaged the Palestinian cause and given Israel cover to build its West Bank security barrier. Qurei also welcomed Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s plan to withdraw from the Gaza Strip, but said it should be followed by a withdrawal from the entire West Bank.
