At a recent meeting held in New York a provisional committee for the organization of a Hillel League was constituted. This League will be composed of alumni and parents of students attending universities served by the B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundations. It will be limited to alumni and parents living in New York and vicinity, and will be made up principally of those connected with Cornell University. The committee consists of Lawrence L. Levy, Louis Robison, and Morton Hoffman.
The Jewish population of Berlin and environs will not remain without matzoths for the Passover holidays, as had been previously feared. Although a sufficient supply of matzoths has been baked, packages of unleavened bread have not been openly displayed, as in former years, but are concealed under the counters of Jewish bakeries and are secretly supplied.
