The percentage of Arab Israelis who consider themselves Israeli dropped almost by half during the past six years, according to a new Israeli poll. Only 33 percent of the respondents to a poll commissioned by the Peace Research Institute at Givat Haviva said the title “Israeli” was an accurate description of their identity, as opposed to 63 percent who said so in 1995.
