The Polish Council of Christians and Jews is honoring a Jewish friend of Pope John Paul II. Jerzy Kluger, a lifelong friend of the Polish-born pope, will receive the annual “Figure of Reconciliation” award. The prize is presented to persons who have distinguished themselves in promoting dialogue and closer relations between Christians and Jews in Poland.
