The president of the University of Colorado has recommended firing the controversial professor who compared 9/11 victims to Nazis. Ward Churchill s essay comparing Adolf Eichmann to World Trade Center victims set off a firestorm. The Associated Press reported that Hank Brown, in a letter to the chair of the tenure committee, said the university cannot fire Churchill for his remarks, as they are protected by the First Amendment. But he said the university is investigating allegations of plagiarism and falsifying research. Churchill said if he is fired he will take the university to court, adding that he believes the university is biased against him.
