The provincial council of Vorarlberg, Austria, is ##nsidering legislation barring Jewish ritual slaughtering of food animals, it was ##ported here today by the Agudas Israel, which has received protests from the Jew##, communities and displaced Jews in the area.An Agudah representative who met with Austrian Foreign Minister Karl Gruber, who is now in London in connection with the Conference of Foreign Ministers, was told that the Austrian Government will provide “adequate protection” for the Vorarlberg Jews.
