The records of several Orthodox day schools in Brooklyn that receive subsidized day care vouchers have been subpoenaed as part of a federal investigation. The probe, being conducted by the Brooklyn U.S. Attorney’s Office and the city’s Department of Investigation, is focusing on whether the families benefitting from the vouchers met the income eligibility requirements and whether the vouchers were equitably allocated.
