The Reform movement praised the creation of a human-trafficking prosecution unit in the U.S. Justice Department. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales’ announcement last week “is a recognition of the gravity of the problem of human trafficking and the need for increased law enforcement resources to combat it,” Rabbi David Saperstein, director of Reform’s Religious Action Center, said in a statement.
