The resignations of two Israeli ministers went into effect Thursday. Tourism Minister Binyamin Elon and Infrastructure Minister Avigdor Lieberman had submitted their resignations earlier in the week after Prime Minister Ariel Sharon announced he would lift a siege on Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat’s Ramallah headquarters.
